On Sunday July 31st, we will host a Pack Swim Day at Whealan Pool - located at Milwaukee and Devon - 6200 W. Devon to be exact. It is run by the Forest Preserve District, and is fully staffed with trained lifeguards. It consists of a zero-depth pool (ie - you enter as if you were at a beach), a water play area and 2 water slides, along with an area of the pool for swimming laps. The cost will be $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 3 to 12. There is a snack bar available inside, as well as many places to lay out on chaise lounges or on the grass and just sunbathe (for the older crowd!).
All are invited, and we will meet at Whealan Pool at 11AM. Each family is responsible for their own children's fees. Please make sure your children are prepared with towels, swim suits and sunscreen, and that the sunscreen is applied. This is an event for the whole family! Please plan on coming in yourself and watch your son(s) enjoy themselves!!

The Summertime Pack award can be earned by Cub Scouts by participating in a Cub Scout event in each of the months of the summer. Our June event was the Pinball/Recruitment Drive/Ice Cream Social. This will count for our July event, and the August event will be a family picnic to be held on August 21st (more details to come). Any scout doing this will earn a pin to be worn on their uniform pocket. There is also Den and Pack components of this award, based on the percentage of the Pack participating.
