We have been promising this for a while, the date has been publicized since the May Pack Night, and we now have all the details worked out!!
Sunday, August 21st, 2011 will be the First Annual Cub Scout Pack 3904 Family Picnic. This is the day before school resumes for the St. Ed's boys, so it makes a perfect end of summer family outing.
It will take place at Molloy Education Center, which is located at 8701 N. Menard in Morton Grove, Illinois. The time will be from 1PM to 4PM.
See here for the map:
Hamburgers and Hot Dogs and Beverages will be provided by the Pack. The cost will be $5 per family to help defray the costs. Each Family is also asked to bring a side dish to share. A good rule of thumb is to bring enough for your family plus 2.
All family members are invited. There will be a grill on hand if you want to grill something special. Anyone with picnic type games are welcome to bring them. There will be a large field at our disposal, as well as a playground.
Please RSVP to our Outdoor Activities Chairman, Steve Kendricks at chicagofireman@gmail.com.
We hope to see all of the Pack present. This event counts towards the Summertime Pack Award, a pin that Cub Scouts are eligible to earn and wear for participating in events during each month of the Summer. It will be awarded at our September Pack Night to those that earned it.
With the school year starting up, the Pack is ready to go full tilt with many new and exciting programs. Pack 3904 is growing, expanding, and is on track to become the Powerhouse Pack on the North Side.
