Summertime Activities - Cub Scout Pack 3904

Another spectacular Cub Scout Day Camp has passed, and the boys that attended had an incredible amount of fun.  From Archery and other range work, to arts and crafts, to operating fire hoses and experiencing a Fire Department Pumper truck spraying 500 gallons of water per minute on them, the Cub Scouts of Pack 3904 and the rest of the north side of the city had an incredible week.  Some even chose to stay overnight in a tent, for some, their first experience Camping.  Those that did the overnighter got to experience Knights battling in full armor and swords, and even got to hit a Knight with his sword.  The word has it that NEXT year's Day Camp theme will be "Aliens".

Our next Cub Scout event will be the 4th of July Celebration at Independence Park (on the corner of Irving Park and Hamlin).  The Scouts will lead a parade around the park (behind the Fire Engine), and then will participate in raising the Park's Flags.  Afterwards they will be able to participate in the fun and games of sack races, egg tosses, etc.  This flag ceremony will count towards their rank requirements, and this event will help qualify them for the Summertime Pack Award.

We will meet for this event at Independence Park at 9:30 AM on July 4th, with festivities to kick off at 10AM.  Scouts should wear the most complete uniform that they have.  For those that do not have a uniform yet (our newest Scouts), please feel free to show up anyhow, and have your son wear something that is red white and blue.  Families and friends and neighbors are also invited to this great event.  Having Pack 3904 there puts a good name out in the community for the Pack and for Cub Scouts in general.

Please address any questions to me
