Attached are the forms needed to sign your son up for Cub Scout Day Camp.  Pack 3904 will be attending the North Park Village Camp which runs from Tuesday to Friday June 25 to June 28th.  (Note that this starts the day after Public Schools are let out).

The deadline for Early Bird Registration has been extended, allowing us to collect final counts at this Friday's Pack Night (on the condition that everyone's application is absolutely complete).  This early bird fee is $75 per boy.  Scouts attending camp must be registered with the Pack, and every person attending needs to complete a separate Registration Form, and Health Form (This applies to adult chaperons also).

When filling out the forms, please keep these points in mind:
  • Register your son for the Rank he will be after school lets out.  IE - if he was a Tiger this year, he gets registered as a Wolf, a member of the Wolf Den gets registered as a Bear, A member of this year's Bears Dens gets Registered as a Webelos, etc.
  • Please remember to include a picture of your son, as well as a copy of your family's Health Insurance Card.
  • The Health Form does NOT need to be signed by a doctor, just completed and filled out by a parent.
WE NEED CHAPERONS.  Please consider giving up a day to help watch your son and the others.  We need a minimum of 2 adults per day (perhaps more, depending on how many scouts attend).  You may pick your day(s), and you are guaranteed to have fun, and enjpoy your time with your son.  Chaperones must complete a registration form and health form also, and pay a $20 registration fee (includes a T-Shirt).  Adults may sign up for this duty at anytime - there is no late fee.

This year, there is a new program that may be a little confusing, and we will do our best to explain it here.  There is an OPTIONAL overnight stay on the Thursday evening.  By Boy Scout Regulations, an overnight stay HAS to be Parent and Son - we are not allowed to have multiple, unrelated Cub Scouts staying with another adult (siblins are of course OK).  The cost of this is $20 PER PERSON (both scout and adult), and includes dinner and breakfast.  You will have to provide your own tent and sleeping gear.
My understanding is that this is IN ADDITION to the $75 camp fee, and also to the $20 Chaperone fee.  If you and your son are going to attend the overnighter, please check this off on the form also.

Mrs. Annerena Kim has offered to head up this endeavor, collect forms, track who is going, etc.  She will be available at this week's Pack Night (Friday April 19th), as will I, to answer any questions.  Please come prepared to sign up, and with money, as it is our last chance to get in under the early bird rate.  After the 19th of April, the $75 day camp fee will increase by $20.

I hope this email has not confused you further.  Please let me know if there are any questions.

Jerome Lasky
