Subject: Bear Den/ Other Dens Hike this WednesdayAs was discussed at the past Pack Night, there will be an activity this Wednesday, (the day after Christmas). What originally started out as a Bear Den activity has been expanded due to popular demand to include the entire Pack.We will be making a trip to the Little Red Schoolhouse which is located in the Palos/Sag valley Forest Preserve Area. We will meet at 9:00 Am at St.Edward's, and return at an estimated 2PM. Cub Scouts will need to be prepared for cold weather (including boots if it is wet out), and will need a sack lunch. The Pack will tour the Schoolhouse, and if time remains, we will hike along the trails of the Forest Preserve.PLEASE NOTE THAT BY BSA RULES, THE TIGER SCOUTS MUST HAVE THEIR PARENT WITH THEM ON THIS OUTING.We are also in need of chaperons and drivers! Again, by BSA rules, if we do not meet certain ratios of adults to children, this trip will need to be cancelled.Cub Scouts should plan to wear their uniforms under their jackets. This activity will help with completion of: Tiger Requirement 5G, Bear Requirement 5d, and, depending on what is covered on the hike, perhaps other requirements as well.Realizing that this is in the middle of the week, it is hoped that enough of the Pack will be home from work,and will be wanting to get outside and work off some of the food and desserts eaten the day before.Any questions should be directed to me either by email or phone - 773-267-4868.Jerome Lasky--
