Thank you to all who showed up at St. Ed's school yesterday in Uniform, and ready to do the flag raising ceremony. The weather unfortunately was not co-operating, and the flag ceremony was cancelled due to the rain.
However, Mr . Bender did continue with the recruitment drive later in the morning, and by all reports it was a great success. It really helped to have our Cubs in uniform so that they could exemplify scouting to their classmates. Hopefully we will get a lot of responses.
We have one more Pack Night scheduled for Friday June 17th, in the school gym at 7PM. This will be a fun night, to be spent playing "Pinball", which for those non-St. Ed's parents, is a modified dodgeball/basketball game that is tremendously popular amongst the children.
This Pack Night has now been expanded to be a "New Parent's and Cub Scout Introduction Night". So, it is even more important for all current Cubs to attend, in uniform. (Participation in this also counts towards earning the Summertime Pack Award, which has individual, Den and Pack components to it.).
If you know of any other interested Cub Scout aged boys, please suggest that they and their parents attend this meeting also.
