We have the Gym until 4pm but rarely go that late.
Where: Buckley Hall (Gym)
Food: Potluck! No charge for the Blue and Gold dinner since we're bringing our own food to share.
Please bring whatever you like, doesn't have to be all main dishes, but please bring enough for your party size plus 2 people (So the Laskys would bring enough for 4+2=6 people). Each family is also responsible for bringing their own drinks (but no alcohol of course). The pack will supply plates, bowls, cups, napkins, eating utensils.
Tom Bender is bringing a cake or two decorated in the Cub Scout colors as his contribution. His famous quote - "If I can caulk, I can decorate a cake". (Tom does like his caulk). I figure on bringing "Boy Scout Beans" and a terrific chicken wing recipe I have. Dishes are NOT assigned, so get creative!
The Tigers will do a flag ceremony. The tigers also have some table decorations to put out, and have a song worked out. Other dens can add their own skits and songs or whatever. Tom has not had any luck with getting the OA to perform an Indian ritual. He will try again.
Other Activities:
--> Split the Pot raffle using a deck of cards - sell the cards at $2 a piece, tear it in half, and pull the winning half card - guaranteed to bring the pack at least $52, possibly more if we can run multiple times.
--> Skits, Incoming/Outgoing Leader Ceremony, possibly other entertainment (paper rockets, anyone?)
--> Pack Resource Surveys for the adults to fill out, listing their skills, hobbies, etc. so we know that we can draw on for future things that need to be done.
